One year ago, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa had announced that after 10 years in at the Waikiki Parc Hotel, he would be moving his Nobu Honolulu restaurant to the ground floor of Waiea at Ward Village in Kakaako.  This big announcement signaled a slow movement of the center of Honolulu from Waikiki to Kakaako. 

Nobu, which is co-owned by Chef Nobu and legendary actor Robert DeNiro, is known for its award-winning, innovative "New Style" Japanese cuisine.  Nobu Honolulu features the Chef's popular dishes, such as Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño. 

On December 23, 2016 - just a few weeks after the first residents of Waiea moved in and just in time for the holiday season - Nobu opened its doors!  This brand-new 11,000-square-foot locatione features an outdoor bar lounge, open format kitchen, and a private Teppan Room.
